China Visa Situation: Post Olympics
Do you think that the Chinese visa situation will change after the olympics is over? It seems many websites are split on this. I was wondering if Z visa and other visa agents could input their opinions or inquire directly from the consulate?

I think you may see a relaxing of the visas with regards to lengths of stay. For example, right now its difficult to obtain more than a 30 days visa. I think you will find the consulates allowing for longer entries, but for the Business visas, I do not believe China will go back to accepting just letters from companies, this is just my opinion and I personally think its a bad idea, but that is where my experience leads me to conclude. What I really would like to see, is for our ability to process non US Citizens passports here in the USA to return. That is really a hassle for a lot of folks who are being told they have to get their China Visa through their home country. It also cuts out a large part of our business.
