No Z Visa for People 25 and Younger?

I just read on daves esl that China is no longer issuing visas to people younger than 25 years old. Is that true? Will I be unable to work in China because of my young age of 22?
Someone please help me on this one, I need to find the truth.

I think the good folks over at daves may have an infoirmational agenda. You ABSOLUTELY CAN get a z work visa if you are less than 25, and you have the proper qualifications.
Age is not a factor. We do hundreds of these each month. Just make sure the school provides you with the proper invitation documents and you have the originals.

What about 2 years teaching experience? I've read that there is a two-years experience requirement in order to obtain the work z visa.
Why is there such variation on opinion on this subject?

Technically, in order to be classified as a "Foreign Expert" one should have signifigant qualifications in the field they are applying for. Some provinces like HUNAN, BEIJING, SHANGHAI do have 2 years experience rules, not in teaching, but in work experience outside of college.
Of course each school can have its own policy on hiring. That all being said, policies and provincial regulations are enforced at random and the most likely situation is that a school finds another teacher who is already in China or who is better qualified and then uses your age, or your lack of experience as an excuse why they can't or won't obtain the invitation for your work visa.
