State of Economy and Working Abroad

Hello ESL teachers. I am a recently unemployed 38 year old mother of two with some savings. I have been looking into going abroad to work as an English teacher because
1. I love Chinese culture and languge, and
2. It seems like the best thing to do to weather the financial storm cloaking the US Economy.

My girls are 4 and 6 years old. Is there anyone else out there leaving the US for greener pastures? I'd love to hear from you and how its worked out for you and your family.
