I searched this forum before asking this!
I have a ridiculous misdemeanor conviction of "driving on a suspended liscence", and otherwise perfect record. It is the least serious type of crime in my state, and didn't even show up on a background check I performed. I am very interested in doing ESL in China, but worried about this one offence. In 4/10, I will have the option of getting it "expunged" off my record. In the meantime, I refuse to lie about my crime (deny it on paper).
I first want to tour China. My chances of getting a L visa are good right?
Then perhaps study there...what are my chances of getting an X-visa at this point?
Obviously last is the Z-visa. Even with this minor offence and previous visas, must I get the crime expunged for this to be possible?
Thanks for any advice, and remember that not all "criminals" are horrible people.
