Where are you located? China? The only way to do it is by getting official invitation letters from the govt.

If you are already in China, you will have to pay a company to sponsor you unless you are already affiliated with a company in which case they should pay the expense of the invitation application. Otherwise, you will have to "buy" one at market prices.
The only way to get a F visa in the USA is if you have the appropriate invitation letters. YOu need one from either an official government office, stamped. OR you need an original letter from a fortune 500 company.

The chinese visa companies in China, will soak you good but there really is no other way unless you do it the proper way to begin with.

Both Panda and Keith are correct. You may want to go to Hong Kong to extend your tourist visa, that would be another option. But chances are they will only give you a 30-days single entry. If you live in the south and if its cheap to go to Hong Kong every 30 days than no problem.
