my friend has a working visa here in china she is a foreign teacher in shandong. after her contract expires she wants to tour china for 2 months or so. is it possible for her to apply for a tourist visa? how much would it be if it is possible and when is the soonest time possible for her to apply?
after her tour in china she will go to england. can she do that?

She should be able to apply directly to the local public security bureau for an immediate post-contract extension of 30 days. Then she can go to hong Kong and obtain a double entry visa or single entry valid for 30-60 days. Chances are that they will not allow for entries more than singe entry for 30 days in Hong Kong though she can cetainly try.
The above information is comparible in price to sending her passport to the USA for a visa company like ours to process the visa.
