Can anyone enlighten me on what happens to your Foreign Expert Certificate when you change jobs? My present school is insisting on holding on to mine (I have tried to get it off them but they ain't moving) and I am concerned that if I want to change jobs before the end of the contract (as I do) they will not want to give it to me. Or then again, I am not sure if this is a problem. Will my new school just issue me with a new one? Or will they expect me to bring it with me from my previous job? Thanks for any help.. MM

It says right on the book that this should be kept on the person of the foreign teacher. You need it to do things like exchanging your Chinese currency for foreign currency, etc.. Don't be bullied.
