Hi

I understand that people wanting a work visa for China must now get a noncriminal certification from the local police department and then get it authenticated by the embassy. My question is.. there are 2 types of certificates- one is a national FBI check and the other is a certificate from the local police which is more of a statewide/local check. I heard that the FBI check is unnecessary. Is this true? Which type of certification must I get?

I believe it is the FBI. And to my understanding this is not true of all provinces in China, at least not yet.
